I Corinthians 12:24-27

But God has put the body together.... that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

Let the Chemo begin!!

This is one of those statements that you say and realize it might sound a little funny to some people, but here goes. Praise God, we started chemo today!! Amanda's labs came back and for the first time, her platelets are on the rise in week four! Not only that, but her white blood cell count  is still high, which is a great thing.

As you know, our original treatment plan was written for four week cycles, but up until today, we have been on a six week cycle. In fact, last cycle we had to go to a six and a half week cycle, so for me, for her to start chemo during this fourth week is a huge HALLELUJAH!

So here we sit, in the crowded transfusion room starting cycle four and I couldn't be more thankful.  This is a great  sign that our team has found the right dose for her body to tolerate, while still being effective.

Please pray that the next five days will go smoothly for her as she takes the chemo medication.  Pray that she will feel well, that she will be able to eat and drink well and that the medication will continue to attack and kill the tumor!!

This is the day the Lord has made, let us REJOICE and be glad in it.
