I Corinthians 12:24-27

But God has put the body together.... that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

Our upcoming adventure in Montana!

Well, my crazy week caught up with me and I forgot my camera for Amanda's ride yesterday!  She had a great ride, even though it was still on the cold side.  We wished all our ROCK friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year since we will not see them until January.

Before the ROCK lesson, I finished up our preparations for the trip and Amanda went to play with some very adorable puppies!  The day was extremely productive for me and I was able to go to bed feeling relaxed and more calm about today.

We are packed and ready to go.  The forecast in Montana looks amazing, snow on a few days and temps in the 30's - beautiful Christmas weather.

Our schedule while we are there is unbelievable.  The team at Make a Wish, sponsored by Pepsi, have planned some wonderful winter adventures!  Our flight leaves early tomorrow morning so as long as we have no delays, we will arrive in Montana by 1:00 p.m.  The afternoon is ours to sight see and take our time as we make our way from Bozeman to Big Sky.

Our first scheduled activity is on Saturday and we will start our trip off with Mountain Trail riding.  This was one of Amanda's requested activities, riding horses in the snow!

Sunday, we will experience the Montana Dinner Yurt.  We will be taken by a snow cat to the yurt (I recommend you google what a yurt is rather than me trying to explain what it is!) which features a torch-lit sledding run and campfire. Dinner will be waiting for us inside the warm restaurant!

Monday is a free day for us to find our own adventures.

Tuesday we have another fabulous dinner planned for us on Big Sky's Sleigh Ride Dinner.  We will ride through the majestic winter forest in a sleigh to dinner completed by live cowboy entertainment.

Wednesday, we will go on a dog-sled ride!   This one was not on the original itinerary, but was one of the things Amanda most wanted to do, so it has been arranged for the afternoon.   I hope to surprise her with this.

We fly home on Thursday.  As you can see, there is plenty of down time for us to snow tube, sight see, shop, swim (yes, swim!!) and.maybe even send the boys off to do some skiing!

I plan on taking plenty of pictures and update as we are able depending on our wi-fi availability.  A huge thank you to our family for all their help  and for house sitting for us while we are gone.  Bo Bear doesn't like to be lonely! :)  Ginger is going to Maw Maw and Papa Smith's.  She may be more rotten than she is now when we come home. (If that is even possible.)

Amanda is still feeling great.  I would appreciate prayers that she will have energy and stamina to enjoy as much as possible, for safe, uneventful travels and that the weather stays beautiful for us while we are there.  What a blessing this trip is for our family.  I can't wait to see what adventures we experience and memories we make in Montana!

Psalm 26:3
For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness.

Her idea of a perfect morning.....surrounded by puppies. I'm just glad she didn't come home with one!
